NTLDR is missing

Most of the system engineer doesn’t know what are the NTLDR error. They normally format their drives and re-install operating system but we can fix that error in a couple of minutes.

below are some of the examples of these kind of errors.

EXAMPLE ERROR (These are exact errors)

NTLDR is missing
Press Ctrl Alt Del to Restart

or

NTLDR is Missing
Press any key to restart

or

Boot: Couldn’t find NTLDR
Please insert another disk

CAUSE

We may have different type of causes of above errors.

1. Corrupt NTLDR and/or NTDETECT.COM file.

2. When we tries to upgrade operating system which is FAT32

3. improper settings with the boot.ini file.

4. When hard disk went loose/faulty

Solution

Final Solution that will definetely get it OK.

You only need to copy/replace these file on C:\ route directly

How to copy/replace these files.

Step 1. Insert the Window XP Bootable disk into the computer.

Step 2. Press any key to boot from CD and it will continue.

Step 3. when,  you will have Windows XP setup menu press the “R” key to repair Window.

Step 4. You need to press “1″ to logged into your Windows and then enter.

Step 5. Copy the below two files to the C:\ root directory on hard disk.

Below, we are just copying these files from the CD-ROM drive, which in this case is “F.” This letter may be different on your computer.

copy ntldr C:
copy ntdetect.com C:

or

copy F:\i386\ntldr C:\
copy F:\i386\ntdetect.com C:\

You can use any of the above commands. After copied, please remove your bootable CD and reboot your PC.

And you are DONE.
